These books are so highly rated I made it a point to find the whole series and read them all on a weekend. And that I did. Without regret. Here is a review of all three books:
I usually call bullshit on stories that play on too many subplots but with this one, I felt differently. I enjoyed the complexity, even enjoyed how messed up the lives of the characters were and mostly adored the dreamy Julian. (See how it has disillusioned me, lol) The writing had a natural flow that kept me turning the pages, which drove me crazy because I was losing sleep (and also falling even further into the “delusional woman” hole). It’s not that I enjoyed complicated romances (okay, maybe I do) but this one just got.it.in.the.bag. I wasn’t even finished with the second book then but I already understood why all those five-star reviews exist.
